We stayed with Helen and Frank on our honeymoon and this was one of our highlights of our trip around Ireland. The house is situated on a golf course and the view from our room was stunning. We loved our little walks into town and the fact that we were in a great starting place for our drive to the ring of Kerry. We can’t say enough about how sweet Helen is. I fell ill the first night we were in Kenmare and she went out of her way to call the doctor in town to make an appointment for me. She gave us great advice on what to do and where to go. Thanks for everything Helen and Frank!
We were here for 3 nights in May and enjoyed our stay very much. Our spacious room was clean and comfortable and overlooked a lovely garden in back of the house. Our hosts, Helen and Frank, could not have been nicer or more welcoming and our breakfasts were fantastic. The Old Churchhouse is a quiet and relaxing place, about a mile from Kenmare town center and directly across the road from the ruins of the old parish church. If you are planning to visit the Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park or Gap of Dunloe, this is the perfect place from which to do it!
An excellent 3night stay, Frank and Helen couldn’t do enough to make their guess happy. Excellent room with plenty of space, and a good shower, bed and bedding of good quality. The only noise was that of the birds, ( light sweeting ) 😀😀, it was an excellent view across the golf course from our window. My only comment was the WiFi could have been a bit better, although that could have been area hiccup Helen offered an excellent breakfast cooked to order, the eggs are yummy
We stayed 4 nights at this wonderful B&B. There are so many things to see and the whole region is so beautiful that we highly recommend to stay more than one or two nights. The rooms were very cosy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Helen was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. She provided lots of useful information about what to see and where to eat. Her husband is a passionate hiker and recommended stunning nature hikes. 100% recommendation.
My family stayed 2 nights at this wonderful B&B. Helen was warm and friendly and eager to help us plan our day's activities, which included a wonderful hike on the Beara peninsula. She also went out of her way to accommodate our daughter's dietary restrictions. The B&B was clean, comfortable and had a beautiful zen-like garden in the backyard. The location was an easy 15 minute walk to the town center.
