We have never been here and are really wanting to try it. How are the mosquitos in May and June?
I haven't been there during that time period, but have camped many times in the area. The answer is that it's highly dependent on two things: timing and the presence of dragonflies. I have a cabin just west of there on a pond. The black flies and mosquitos are non-existant in early May, HORRIBLE in the first two weeks of June when the eggs hatch and non-existant when the dragonflies hatch around June 15 (they eat their weight in the nasty bugs each day).
Not many in the mountains..i dont think we ever had an issue....but you are camping...outside. we light tikis and cintra candles also...you must go....great place we go every year...
