Good Day, there is limited parking at the hotel, place for four vehicles, and you can arrange that with the front desk, however I have often parked in the street in front of the hotel and had no problems as the front desk has a view of the area and they have cameras there as well. Punta del Este is about 132 kilometers to the north and worth a visit, en route to Punta del Este you will drive through various small towns. Punta Ballena close to Punta del Este is also worth a visit. 180 kilometers to the east is Colonia, a small town, which is rich in history, and also well worth the visit. There are three options to get to Buenos Aires, Argentina, you can take the ferry from Montevideo, +- three hour voyage, or drive to Colonia and cross the river with the ferry from there to Buenos Aires, +- 1,5 hour voyage or you can drive around the river which is about an 7 hour drive. Going to Paraguay will require some planning as Asuncion is about 1350 kilometers from Montevideo. I would however recommend that you use the opportunity to visit the Iguazu Waterfalls, one of the seven natural wonder of the world. the driving distance is the same as to Asuncion. However you can plan to spend at least three days in Puerto Iguazu as it will take you at least one day to do the trails on the Argentine and then for the best view of the falls you cross the border to Brazil, close to the falls on the Brazilian side is Parque de Aves, a beautiful bird park that you cannot miss. Puerto Iguazu is very close to the borders with Brazil and Paraguay. Lot of driving but well worth the effort. I trust this will help you planning your trip.
