We booked the sunset and stargazing experience. We were a little unsure whether to book the experience at first because as we wanted a private tour as well as pick up and drop off from Skala the cost was higher, but were so glad we did book it. It was the best experience of our holiday and one we will not forgot.
Dimitri was an incredible host and told us lots about the history of the island whilst we were driven to the Robola winery. Here we saw the production equipment and tasted some of the wines. We then continued our trip to Dimitris hideout in the mountains to watch the sunset with an amazing view over the mountains. Dimitri served us with wine, bread, ham and cheeses with a selection of wine. Dimitri managed to get the perfect balance of being attentive, informative, and always on hand yet at the same time making the experience feel intimate and not overbearing. It was such a pleasure to be in his company. The wines and cheeses were delicious, the scenery stunning and you don’t appreciate the lack of noise until you (don't) hear it.
Unfortunately it was a little overcast so we didn’t get to see any stars. We were able to see the moons surface through the telescope though and we were even shown the different constellations on Dimitris Ipad. I discovered a new liking of white wine. Later in the week me and my partner searched for and bought some of the red and white wine we tried during the evening to take back home with us, we were just disappointed we couldn’t fit Dimitri in the suitcase too.

Our group of 7 unanimously voted this our best excursion of the trip. We were so lucky to have spent several hours with Dimitri. He greeted us promptly at the cruise port and then we were on our way. We stopped at several picturesque sites where he played photographer. The views of the beach and the water were breathtaking. We sampled some sparkling wine, went to a winery and sampled more local wine, had an impromptu stop for some olive oil. After all this, we had a meal at a gorgeous outdoor restaurant with perfectly paired wine and food.
Dimitri was so kind and flexible when I was planning this excursion. He truly made our trip memorable.

What a fun day with Dimitri! The four of us were so pleasantly surprised at each stop of our wine tour. Dimitri’s knowledge and background on both the culture and wine was incredible. And our lunch location, sitting right near the water, was absolutely delicious! We couldn’t imagine a better day or better company. Thanks Dimitri for an amazing time!

Dimitri gave my entire family a new, deeper appreciation for wine and Greek food. His knowledge and passion for winemaking was amazing (he also makes his own award winning wine which was our favorite wine). He brought us to his private "man cave" and personal vineyard for wine and finished off with a perfect meal next to the ocean. We now love Kefalonia and Dimitri and hope to return someday. This was truly the perfect "Greek Wine Experience".

We arranged the wine and gastronomy day to start our wedding celebrations with some of our guests.
The Contact with Dimitri before hand was excellent, really easy to arrange and sort.
The morning we were due to do it, it rained quite a lot, and so Dimitri called to check we still wanted to do in the rain. We of course did.
On the way to the first stop Dimitri shared his knowledge of wines and history of wines, which was really interesting, without being too much information.
We initially visited his private vineyard, we honestly could have stayed there all day. It is so peaceful and beautiful there. The wine and nibbles also were excellent too.
We then visited another local vineyard and tried 3 more wines, and more nibbles before finishing off at a restaurant just outside Argostoli for the most delicious meal, again paired with some more lovely wines. There was so much food for a set meal. The quality was amazing, and for a big table and set meal we all were very very impressed!
We never actually tried all the wines as by this time we had almost become wined out, but Dimitri gave us some of these wines to try in our own time.
The cost of the day and what you receive for this, it is such good value for money, but more importantly it was a fun, relaxing and enjoyable day, even for those who aren’t the biggest wine drinkers!
Would highly recommend and would do again in future.

Whether you are a wine aficionado or a complete novice, Dimitri is the right choice for you! His extensive knowledge and passion for viticulture was apparent immediately as was his friendly, thoughtful and attentive personality. You can tell that Dimitri absolutely adores what he does and his enthusiasm is contagious! We went to three vineyards (including his very own) during which he gave us a historic and cultural background of the island and the history of Greek wine in general, as well as notes whilst tasting the wines - so we learned a lot! He even gave us a fabulous restaurant recommendation for our last day in Kefalonia (Vinaries - where he was by coincidence doing a wine tasting the same day) and he popped by to give us recommendations for dishes and gave us some wine to pair with our food! An absolute legend of a man! Book him ASAP as he’s popular (obviously :)) - enjoy your stay in Kefalonia!

We took the half-day wine tour which was done by Nikos. The day already started good with Nikos already waiting for us even before the pick-up time at our hotel.
We visited two great wineries which were completely different to each other, so we got two totally different experiences. 1 small, family run, winery which produces great wines and the other winery was a lot bigger and more commercial but also produces quality wines.
Nikos has a lot of wine knowledge which he shares during the rides and you can ask him anything.

We did the one day winery tour in or better around Thessaloniki. Although it was Orthodoxal Eastern and most wineries were closed, Dimitri offered us a great alternative in between the public holidays. We are very happy we did this tour to Domaine Florian and Marianna´s. If you are interested in wine and want to get to know more about Greece, Thessaloniki and the great people living there, you definitely have to book a tour with NIkos and Dimitri!

Myself and my husband went on the tour during our honeymoon. We were by no means wine connoisseurs yet our guide, Dimitri, was absolutely brilliant. He told us so much about this rich history of wine-making on the island and we had the best cheese and wine we have tasted whilst enjoying it in a picturesque location! A must-do!

Dimitri and Nikos, our guides, were so passionate about wine and shared all of their knowledge with us. I am studying abroad in Thessaloniki and I took my family on this tour to introduce them to Greek culture. We were not disappointed in the least, everyone had a great time, and we tasted some excellent wines. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience true Greek wine culture!
