Great Way to see some of the real Crete

We went on the Village tour.. George is super organised and whilst he might come over bossy he is definitely keen to make things run very smoothly. It was great to see the village he grew up in and he even introduced him to one of his old teachers .

Family fun day out

We were travelling with a 6 month old so we thought we would test the water with the hour long trip first. George (the driver) can be a bit direct at first, but once he gets going, he is a very warm and friendly guy. He even made some recommendations for Tavernas as we were on the tour. After we did this trip, every time George drove past us, he beeped and waved at us, which was quite nice. We felt very welcome with our baby and enjoyed the one hour trip so much, we decided to do one of the half day trips.
We decided to do the trip to Vrahasi. George was slick with getting everyone on the train and setting off in good time. He made plenty of stops for people to take photos of the scenery en route. The first stop is a monastery. It isn’t pushchair friendly (quite a few steps to get there), but it is manageable if you carry the baby. George took loads of family photos for us, which was lovely as we usually have to take an awkward selfie or rely on other guests being patient with the baby! After the monastery, we went up to Vrahasi. This is George’s home town and he is so passionate about it. He gave us a fantastic little tour and then we stopped at local tavernas for food. After food, we went straight back to Sissi. Lovely day and lovely memories. Would recommend

top excursie onderleiding van george die een uitstekende gids en een nog betere chauffeur is. de trips met de happy train zijn echt een aanrader!

Heel leuk om te doen

George liet alles zien waar hij geboren is was een heke leuke ervaring een zeker ee aan raden de prijs is 22 euro p.p maar zeker de moeite waard .hij stopt overal
Je kan dan foto s maken en je gaat naar de olujf fabriek en naar mommeke klooster heel leuk en hij stopt ook nogonf een uur, zodat je een lunche kan benuttigen ( moet je wel zelf betalen ) maar zeker leuk om te doen

Happy Train to Vrachasi

George was superb, taking us to a monastery and then to Vrachasi where we had lunch. Transport is a Dotto road train which is simply good fun. George is personable & capable, and seems to know everyone. Plenty of stops for photos too.

A must do when in Sisi! Very authentic tour!

We had a great trip with George to Vrachasi. The stop at the monastery was very interesting, we even got to go through the museum although it was closed - but George knows everyone and arranged it for us 😎
In Vrachasi he opened the church for us and showed us around his home town saying Hi to many inhabitants and explaining a lot about the buildings and history. Lunch in a tavern was very yummy too!
When in Sisi (or close enough) I’d totally recommend taking the Tour through Vrachasi ☀️

A lovely little trip on George's Happy Train.. Beautiful scenery and monastery, followed by a look around George's village Vrahasi, where he showed us his school and the stunning little church. Then on to a village taverna for lunch, where we were made very welcome by the locals. Thank you George for a lovely day!

Took the happy train with George up to the mountains to a monastery and the local village where he grew up.
What a great trip. Beautiful scenery and the monastery was worth a visit.
The next stop was the village of Vrachasi George is very proud of his heritage and where he grew up. He took us to his old school and the beautiful church.
We ate in a local taverna just before the main square. A simple Greek salad and a mixed platter. Everything was delicious .
Back on the train to Sisi , stopping to capture the beautiful scenery every few minutes.
George made the trip! He is warm and welcoming and cares very much about giving everyone the best time.

We love the Happy Train. George is wonderful and ever time we visit Sissi,we go on his train. He takes us to wonderful places and is very kind and considerate to his passengers.
