Stopped here on our way to Durham. Restrooms are okay. Good place to walk pets and gather information.

This Welcome Center is at Mile Marker 231 on I-85 Southbound. We stopped there early one Friday morning, soon after they opened up. There are lots of picnic tables on the grounds, including a handicapped-accessible picnic table.
The inside has, as expected, tons on NC literature. I asked about a small town that we were heading toward, and the two women there searched "high and low" to accommodate me......very nice, but couldn't get them to stop looking after a while (there was no literature available). The bathrooms were very clean!
