Fantastic course with great views and cracking food either side. If I could afford this I would be coming back weekly

I played the Palmerston course recently. It is very expensive and I know the weather has been bad recently but the bunkers and greens were both significantly worse than my local municipal course. In fact, the greens are probably the worst I have ever played on. The staff were great but you can play courses in much better condition for a fraction of the price - avoid!

As with all venues which have two courses one course has an individual preference to the other. The Palmerston would be the Championship course. The food and beverage is average bearing in mind many top courses have raised their standard.

The venue is amazing with stunning views, the food is great value within a very relaxed atmosphere - from coffee to a full blown dinner, can highly recommend.

We visited for a corporate golf day and were massively impressed. The course is a pleasure to play with lots of variety in a spectacular location. The lakes are brought in to play on a number holes adding to the challenge. The 18th is a unique par 5 playing downhill with the house in the distance your shot to the green is over the lake and once played you take a boat trip across to the green to putt out. The course condition was great, the staff around the clubhouse were friendly and the food was excellent. I would love to return and take on the other course one day.

20 men booked a golf weekend several months in advance. Golf was good but everything else was awful. No bars open after 10pm despite an assurance from a manager that they'd be open until at least 11. Then they changed their mind. So 20 men on a golf weekend sent back to their rooms at 10pm. By incredibly rude staff.
Don't come here on a golf weekend. Ever. Just don't.

このコースはとても広く、またアップダウンもあって、ホールによって次のホールまで結構距離があったりするので、トローリーを使うよりはカートで回ることをお勧めします。コースはとても素晴らしい。

I am going to write a more full review and edit this later.
But I wanted to make sure those people who are thinking of booking brocket for a wedding think again.. it's honestly not worth it.
I have to give credit initially, the estate itself is a idyllic, tranquil and stunning venue. I'd suggest tough to match in Hertfordshire.
However, as with a lot of the other review on brocket hall the staff are completely incompetent. I'm listing a few of the issues below but there are a heap load more.
We had our ceremony venue changed three times including 4 days before the wedding. The final time was basically because from their initial advice of the numbers of guests for capacity (58) was wrong, the location only held half the number (30). hilariously they had even done a seating plan for 58! As with all the dealings a curt and frankly rude response there's no other choices and we have to lump it.
Our evening buffet they managed to not make enough food, so serve half of the guests didn't get food, there was a queue out of the door. no staff mentioned it on the night and when asked the following week about it, the event coordinators response was it was "my fault for not ordering more food"! (amount ordered was as they advised). The other reply was they "didn't feel it was a problem?"
Quite frankly it's really frustrating that you put your faith in the "professionals" and are thoroughly let down.
As a side note the Melbourne lodge doesn't have a honeymoon suite as they portray, it's just abnormal double with a river side view (who sees the view on a wedding night?). It also has two single mattresses pushed together.

Brocket Hall has had a chequered history. But the latest owners have invested wisely and the two courses are in excellent condition with fabulous greens. We played bank holiday Monday in wonderful weather and really enjoyed the round. Not a cheap golf course to get on unless you know a member but well worth the experience.
