Love this place, so special, relaxing and importantly affordable - a space which should be cherished and saved for the community!

As a local I visit this beautiful relaxing space twice a week. The benefits to health and emotional well-being are enjoyed by many from near and far, we have visitors in the last 6 weeks from the USA, Australia, Lithuania, New Zealand and Spain plus the four corners of our Country. Well worth a visit

Incredibly relaxing place, beautiful old listed building. You can see why it was built for the health and wellbeing of the people of Carlisle. It really is so important for this place to be kept for people to benefit from.
These days it's too easy for people to blame others for their lifestyle choices but the people I met today who frequent the Turkish baths are doing something positive for their mind and body and this should be the key aspect when the council comes to make decisions on the sites future.
Long may we have Turkish baths in Carlisle!

Hidden under-advertised gem (perhaps deliberately as the council are trying to close them). Victorian grade 2 listed and as similar to the genuine hammams in Turkey etc as we have found. Great for tourists on a wet day in the Lake District. Great for anyone anytime.

Carlisle turkish baths are an actual dream! It's so beautiful! I can't recommend them enough. Original tiling, charm, and detail. It's so beautiful.
I live in Harrogate, with it's renowned baths. while they retain the actual structure of the original baths, they retain nothing of the charm. If you want to see Victorian Turkish Baths as they were, Carlisle is the place to do it. They are minutes from the town centre and train station. Perfect for hen parties, spa days, me time, or just relaxing in truely historic surroundings
Better preserved, cheaper, and and more charming than any other baths I've been to im England. They are a treasure!

Small but perfectly formed. One of the last few victorian Turkish baths. Beautiful tiles and stained glass, friendly staff, very relaxing.

I've visited Harrogate gate baths and though smaller, these baths are much nicer.
The staff are great but I found the booking system confusing. It was much 'better' when the Council ran it.
