We have done a private tour every day of a 10-day Rome/Greece cruise. This was BY FAR the one we enjoyed the most. It feels like hanging out with a friend, not a stiff tour. Every stop is flexible and arranged to meet your preferences. Communication before the tour is prompt, friendly and detailed so there are absolutely no questions.
This is just a small sample of what it is like: we wanted to try a bakery. We immediately stopped at a bakery that had a family connection and baked goods were purchased for us!
It is guaranteed to be a highlight of your trip if you are able to book a tour here. We have done these types of tours all over the world and I would put this one among the very, very best.

We would thoroughly recommend using Takis for a tour. We were met at the port and driven to Olympia. Along the way Takis shared many interesting facts about where we were going. He was very helpful in advising us where to go. Helen his wife drove us back to the port after visiting the amazing site of Olympia. We would happily recommend using Takis.

Absolutely the Best Private Taxi / Tour Service to explore Olympia and the surrounding area - to include Winery with Tasting, Monasteries, and Beaches, if your time allows.
We first met Takis in 2015…. We became instant “friends”. Takis is very easy to get to know, he loves sharing his beautiful “piece” of Greece with you..! He’s quite knowledgeable in the amazing history of this area. This was our daughter’s first time to meet Takis…. She immediately felt welcomed after a quick stop at the bookstore for a guide book to Olympia, then off to visit Olympia and the magnificent Museum. After Olympia, a visit to Olympia Land Winery for a vineyard tour, then a tasting of their excellent wines. Second visit to this Winery…. Wines are amazing..!
On the return to the ship, Takis stopped at the Katakolon Bakery for tasting the wonderful local specialties. Takis sent me a gorgeous cake for a speedy recovery - unfortunately, I fractured my ankle 2 nights before and was not able to go on our tour…. I was very sad, but the thoughtfulness and the Cake certainly cheered me up..!

Takis is a professional. A pleasure to deal with. Answered my enquiry within 8 minutes. We were docking in Katakolon the next day & wanted a private transfer to Olympia & the archeological museum. He picked us up at the pier. Supplied us with valuable information about the surrounding area & the history of the games. Even supplied us with a guide book on arrival before pointing us in the right direction. The proceded to wait for us 2 hours. Then dropped us off at a local restaurant in Katakolon on the beach. This all for 100 Euros (2 couples) drivingbin style & conforr is an E-clasx Merecedes. Thanks Takis.

You went over and above to make our day something to remember for years. The side trip we wanted to make and you advised times so as not to miss the ship was fantastic. No stress and enjoying your section of Greece was so relaxing. Thank you so much.
Any one going to your section of Greece I will advise them to give you a call to arrange transportation since I have kept your card.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Takis in Olympia! We arranged a 6- hour tour to see the Olympia Museum, archaeological site, a winery and several town along the way. He was super friendly, polite and explained about the culture and what we were seeing. He even arranged for us to have an archaeologist give us a guided tour of the Olympia Museum and site. At the end of the tour, he bought us ice cream and pastries. We spent 10 days in Greece and the islands and this was our favorite day. Can't recommend Takis enough!!

It was immediately apparent that Takis cares a lot about the customer. This isn't someone who will view the customer as a moving wallet, but as a person, and will treat them with respect. The ride was smooth and the conversation very pleasant, to the point where, although I didn't find out about his services through trip advisor, I specifically asked if there was a place where I could leave my positive feedback for others to see.
Definitely recommend. Trust me, you won't regret it.

How much would a tour of Olympia, the winery and beach cost us?

They charged around 180 Euros and the tour was from around 8am to 3pm. He was great and took us right to Olympus ahead of the tours. We had 4 people in our group so it worked out to be 45 euros each. We went to many places and he recommended a winery, a bee farm, several museums, a beach resort and he gave us a bottle of his own homemade olive oil.

We noticed the GREAT reviews that have been made on "Tours by George" on the Corfu and Athens locations. My wife and I will be doing a Mediteranean Cruise 18-30 April and are looking at some specific tours on the itineary
We will be in Athens on Sunday, 24 April, 8am-5pm, and in Olympia the next day, 25 April, 10am-6pm.

We booked a full day tour, which included Olympia, a stop at a local winery for a tour and wine tasting, lunch at a local eatery and more. The cost for the full-day tour was 200 Euro for the car and driver. As there were four of us - we felt that 50 Euro each was excellent value.
