Irene and her team organized a fabulous itinerary. Well planned and expertly executed. Always felt safe and connected. Guides were knowledgeable and friendly. Always on time and never rushed. Hotels selected were outstanding. A trip of a lifetime.

My husband and I traveled to Greece for a second Anniversary Trip. We had so much going on in our life, and I didn't feel like we had the bandwidth to effectively plan this trip on our own. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Dorcas Travel. Everything from start to finish was seamless and wonderful. The initial booking process was so smooth. Odysseus listened to exactly what we wanted and planned an amazing trip. When we arrived in Athens, Odysseus met us at the airport to ensure we had everything we needed and that all of the plans were finalized. In Athens, we had a private tour guide for the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum who was so knowledgeable. In Naxos, we had a private guided hike with Stella who was incredible and an expert in nature. In Santorini we also had a private tour of Ancient Agora Archeological Site. Our guide truly made everything come to life. We also enjoyed a fun cooking class and a beautiful catamaran boat cruise. All of the activities exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend Dorcas Travel to anyone planning on visiting Greece!

My wife and I had never been to Greece and wanted to celebrate my retirement enjoying this dream vacation. We asked Dorcas Travel to help us plan and implement the trip. Best decision ever! Irene and her team did an amazing job coordinating all of our travel plans down the finest details. We saw most of Mainland Greece and the Islands of Crete and Santorini. Enjoyed 8 splendi hotels and had the most amazing guide/driver for the better part of a week (Vasillos). His constant care and coordination and the many stories (Greek Historian) brought the many ancient ruins to life for us. Private tours with local guides/archeologists further enhanced the quality of the tours in each city. Our ferry from Crete to Santorini needed to return to port due to high winds and choppy seas. One text to Irene and we were picked up for the airport from the port without missing this portion of our trip. In Crete, we were able to go into a village and meet the local people even visiting the home of our guide’s grandmother sharing homemade cookies and lemonade that she prepared for us. If you want to enjoy this glorious country and it’s people in a luxurious, stress-free vacation that will generate happy memories for the rest of your life, we can strongly recommend using this company.

We used Dorcas Travel to plan a private custom tour of mainland Greece. They really listened to my interests, accommodated them, and made great value added suggestions. In executing the tour, we had 1 driver for all 8 days and he was terrific - excellent English, very knowledgeable about culture and history, and extremely friendly and dedicated to giving us a great experience. The guides at all the sites we visited were all great - well qualified and knowledgeable. The Dorcas staff was always available and checked in with us several times. If I plan another trip to Greece (and that is likely), I will call Dorcas without question.

Please look no further for the trip of your dreams. Dorcas Travel Agency took care of every single detail. I mean EVERY detail. Irene and her team are incredible. Our family traveled from Florida to Greece in April 2023. We went to Rhodes, Crete, Santorini, Athens, Delphi, and Meteora.
Our family of 4 adults travelled in private luxury vehicles, spent our nights in private luxury villas, and boutique hotels, and private guided tours of the beautiful ancient ruins, cities, towns, and countryside villages. We specifically requested to stay in the historic districts, and we were not disappointed with our accommodations. Irene and her team looked after every small detail.
We were particularly interested in the Jewish Heritage of Greece and the Aegean Islands. Irene arranged private tour guides who spoke very clear English, and who had knowledge of the Jewish Heritage of the places we visited.
Some of our favorite places and things were:
Meteora: to say amazing does this place no service. It is just breathtaking and should be a world wonder. Our tour guide had incredible and in-depth knowledge of the monasteries/nunneries. She was very patient with us as there were very many stairs at all the Monasteries. Although I am not Orthodox Christian in my beliefs, these structures sitting atop monoliths were impressive.
Chania, Crete: This is a beautiful seaside city with a rich and ancient heritage. The food was incredible, and the people friendly. There is much to see and do, or just stroll along the promenade and restaurant hop. While visiting Crete, Irene arranged for us to tour a Olive Oil Production and plantation. The tour was so wonderful, don't miss out on trying the food at their little cafe.
Athens: History, history, history. If you love ancient history, Christian history, Greek mythological history, you will LOVE Athens!!!!! So much to see and do!!!! You will not run out of ancient sites to tour. If you are a museum lover, as I am, then do not miss the Acropolis Museum. New, modern, and WOW!
Lastly, I would be remiss not to give a special mention to some of the amazing team members with Dorcas Travel who made our stay especially seamless:
Odysseaus, thank you for everything. Thank you for meeting us at the airport in Athens, making sure we were well cared for, and checking up on us throughout our trip.
Demetrius, thank you for all the miles you drove us. Teaching us all the history of your beautiful and ancient country. You were always courteous, accommodating, and a real pleasure to spend so much time with. It was obvious by your conversations with us how much you love your country and heritage. It was such a pleasure to meet you.
Traveling with our family is always complicated, and Dorcas helped us with all the bumps in the road. We are forever grateful for our experience with this company and would recommend to anyone looking for a highly reputable company who delivers what they say they will.
Irene and her team are absolutely, hands-down, the best!

Irene created a wonderful trip for my husband, oldest son, and I. We had never been to Greece before, and each of us had different things we wanted to get out of the trip. Irene was able to balance us out and create a wonderful trip we will remember forever. We started in athens and sights and cities a drive away from there. Then went up north to Meteora - which was my favorite! So amazing. From there we flew to crete to finish off our trip. We had a great driver with us the whole time and that made a big difference for us too. I would 100% recommend Dorcas Travel to friends and family.

Dorcas arranged a wonderful guided ~4 week vacation for us to Greece and Istanbul. We spent the first 4 days in the heart of Athens, taking several walking tours with excellent local guides. We then spent 15 days in the Aegean islands of Naxos, Santorini, and Crete. Our experience on each island was wonderful, and our guides were all personable, caring, and knowledgeable. We completed our time in Greece with a 5-day driving tour of mainland sites. Our driver took excellent care of us and we had more wonderful experiences. The final part of our journey was 3 busy and exciting days in Istanbul; the one guide who accompanied us for all 3 days was excellent. Travel logistics were handled very smoothly, and as noted several times above, our guides were excellent.

This is the second time we have used Dorcas Travel for our Greek Island vacations. Irene heads up a first class agency that has her travelers firmly placed as their priority. If you want a no -hassle trip then this is the place to start your dream vacation.
We chose to travel the Greek Islands and Dorcas made suggestions for our itinerary, made all the arrangements once it was agreed, and even reacted speedily to any last minute changes we requested. Our vacation was seamless, all we needed to do was sit back, relax, and enjoy each island and the different options that each offered.
We will be returning in 2024 and will definately be contacting Irene for guidance as to our destinations knowing that our every need will be handled.
We seldom write recommendations as everyone's vacation aspirations are different but we can sincerely endorse Dorcas. You will not go wrong using their full-service, individually-driven , highly-motivated agency.
