My partner and I were collected from the port by Christos to start our 9 day discovery of the Pelopense. How lucky were we to have this wonderful man to drive us and show us this beautiful part of Greece. His knowledge of the area was fantastic and also to be able to take us to hidden gems of restaurants we’d never ever find ourselves. This was such a wonderful part of the trip as we adore traditional Greek food . Christos driving ability was second to none, in fact he is the best driver I’ve ever been with and that includes my family and friends ! He would never allow us to handle our bags and I had quite a few, always delivering them to our hotel rooms . Christos was always on time and had cold water ready for us and then we stopped and he bought us the best coffee in town where ever we were. After 9 days it was so sad saying goodbye at the airport as Christos made this wonderful trip extra special . I can highly recommend this experience of The Pelopense and of course “The wonderful Christos”.

We did a private tour and we were guaranteed admission to the monasteries (which we were not) as well as a English speaking driver/ tour guide. Our driver (as a driver) was great, but as a tour guide, not as much. We were dumped off in numerous places with no indication of where we were at with no guidance of the archeological sites or monasteries. No history or tour was given. It was a big let down to say the least, the sites were beautiful, but we couldn’t fully enjoy it as we had no clue what we were even looking at or where we were. Recommend maybe this tour in a larger group, but not privately.

Monasteries in Kalavryta offer free admissions
Our drivers are not tour guides to guide the clients in sites, museums or monasteries.
Drivers provides informative documentary audio as you travel.
What is excluded:
We clearly offer the option of a tour guide (at an additional charge)
Clients it's obvious they use tour buses,/ large groups ( as they recommend it) which include a tour guide as the cost it's more affordable
Finally Tripadvisor will publish any negative review with any exaggerations .

We did the 13 day private tour of the Athens, Peloponnesian Peninsula, with Meteora also included. Nikolaus is a great driver who showed us the backroads and major sites. Though not an official guide, he is able to give good context to the history of classical and modern Greece. We were able to supplement with downloaded audio guides for a few sites, which were very helpful. We were quite busy during the tour but towards the end we were able to enjoy a couple nights in Nafplio and on the island of Hydra. Niko’s bride Angela also accompanied us and is delightful. I recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in Greek history and seeing a lot of sights. Though we went with their itinerary, Niko will be able to arrange for any individual desires or custom plans.

I recently went on a tour with Nikolaos with a group of travelers from the United States to see the Meteora Rocks & Monasteries, Delphi/Apoloo Oracle, Thebes. The tour was absolutely fantastic. Nikolaos is different than many guides I have worked with because he has since a passion for showcasing an authentic experience of his home country of Greece. We learned so much from his insider local knowledge. Nikolaos was always on time to pick up our group and even took us on additional excursions so that we would have the most valuable experience possible. I highly recommend Greece Taxi for your upcoming travels in Greece. Kalimera Nikolaos!

Phillip was an amazing tour guide who picked our family of five up from a centrally located hotel in the Syntagma area of Athens. He had a lot of knowledge about the history of Athens and Corinth as well as all of the areas we visited and was very eager to answer all of our questions. Ancient Corinth and the Corinth canal were very interesting to see. The train ride was beautiful, however the cars are very small and the train was packed. The town of Kalavryta was a beautiful little town in Greece that turns into a ski town in the Winter months. We ate lunch at a small café that Phillip recommended that had good food that was reasonably priced. We then went and visited our first monastery that was built into a mountain. This was a very unique experience. We were picked up in a Mercedes van that was extremely comfortable for the duration of this tour and Phillip had plenty of water to ensure everyone stayed hydrated. This was a great value for the length of this tour considering all we were able to see and experience. If you have an extra day in Athens and want to get outside of the big city, book this tour and ask for Phillip who was very easy to understand and who provided amazing knowledge!

This was a great tour and Christos was excellent and shared his knowledge and special places with me. It was a wonderful day tinged with sadness seeing the Kalavryta nuseum and the execution site.

Christos was so knowledable about the whole trip, he was our favorite part. We are history buffs and we love to learn about the past. Alexa made the booking so easy from the very beginning.
Christos went it to great detail and took pictures and shared info it was like being with family. Highly revommend this trip! 5 star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

We absolutely loved the trip, more than just Delphi as well, great responsiveness and wonderful people to be around. I definitely enjoyed doing this more than a standard tour and I feel like we got a better overall experience. Really a great time and I definitely recommend them to guide you around.

Nikolas was an excellent driver and tour guide! 12 hours from start to finish, interesting facts about both Olympia and Corinth. He helped us navigate the ticketing process and steered us to a very good cafe/restaurant for lunch. He was dependable, pleasant, without being overly talkative. We would both highly recommend! Worth every penny we paid.

Impressively dressed driver and immaculate transport. Lots of info on the region, some historic stops thrown in. Options were available if you spend too much time in one place. Wine tastings all offer a range of tastings three + with cheeses and meats. Had some amazing wines in some beautiful wineries. The countryside is beautiful.

Hi I am visiting Athens in September from the 15th - 22nd. My father and I are very interested in visiting Thermopylae but private tours are very expensive. I have been reading reviews about Greece Taxi and wanted to know roughly how much would it be for 3 people to go to Thermopylae for a day trip?
