Great night to see Jack Dee. The theatre has been beautifully restored. We were sat in the Grand Circle. Sound and view were excellent.

Magical building. Helen was our guide. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were with a group of around 15, which was perfect. Well worth a vist to learn a bit more about this historical gem.

A great night out seeing a tribute act. Drinks are very over priced though and only two people serving during interval which meant some people were late for 2nd half.

Lovely venue but quite hot. Don’t think there’s any air con! Show was ok but stage set up a bit disappointing. Very basic.

This theatre is excellent however the show wasn't as good we all expected, the singer lacked any ooph!! Her dancing moves weren't very tina turner but the backing dancers were amazing throughout. I wouldn't recommend the show but l would recommend the actual theatre

Whilst visiting Harrogate for a few days. We were staying opposite the royal hall and noticed the theatre was having a open day certain times of the day. The lady who was showing us around was really informative and very nice. There is a donation box at the end. I think the tour lasted about an hour.

I visited here to see Steve Hackett in October 2021. The inside of the Hall is unique and obviously very well looked after. It is very impressive to see. The acoustics and stage views were also really good too. As usual with an older venue, toilet capacity at a larger gig is always slightly below what it could be.

I came here for the first time with a couple of work colleagues to see the musical Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and the building was spectacular. Fantastic architecture.
We went to buy some drinks and the queue was really long so it took a good while. Luckily, the start of the show was postponed so we didn't miss out.
At the interval, the queue for the toilets was massive, but it went down surprisingly quickly as there were many cubicles available. Lovely stuff.
The show itself was enjoyable and we had a good view of the stage from the Grand Circle. I would love to come again to the theatre to see another show.
Only thing - sometimes the microphone quality when the cast were singing wasn't great and I couldn't quite hear them. I don't know if that was more to do with the show itself than the theatre though, so who am I to complain?

It was our first visit to Harrogate and the Russel Watson concert was, as always, first class. The Royal Hall Theatre was impressive. One member of the backing choir was off pitch but otherwise we enjoyed a great evening.

The nearest public car park is Jubilee car park, accessed from Cheltenham Parade and a short walk to the Royal Hall.
There is an amount of street parking in the locality which is free after 18:00 on most evenings.
The Harrogate Borough Council website does carry details of the main parking options in the vicinity.

Hi Angie, I am able to advise that there is no specific dress code for our Guests attending Madam Butterfly, all I would say it does tend to get quite warm so it may be worth you considering this for your visit.

Hello, the nearest is the Hotel St. George which is directly across the road but there is also The Crown, The Old Swan, The White Hart,The Studley and the Holiday Inn, all within a couple of minutes walk of the Royal Hall.

I would highly recommend Lucia Wine Bar and Grill just across the road from the Royal Hall or Harrogate Brasserie which is a 5 minute walk from the Royal Hall. You can look at both places online to view. Hope this is helpful.
