A lovely venue, really homely and friendly. They manage to get really big names in the folk circuit to appear there. It is always a pleasure to attend, prices are very reasonable and facilities pretty good.

Always enjoy our visits here. Good standard of acts. Get there early if you want to park in the adjacent car park. Also can get very hot in the summer months. Friendly and a very enjoyable evening. They could do with more toilet facilities - always a big queue in the interval.

This was a first time visit to the folk club as we wanted to see the band Merry Hell. They are a northern band and it was their first appearance in Kent, so had to go!
It was like going back in time, to what we remember as a real folk club, just as they used to be, even having a raffle.
The acoustics and seating were good and the audience very friendly. They also have a bar and you can sit and watch the performance with your drinks.

fantastic rentals and very helpful staff. The only thing that has become worse over the years is the amount of dog poo littering the park :(

Went here to see the amazing Ray Cooper perform tracks from his new album as well as old ones. Lovely old fashioned village hall with stage and they ran a bar and there was a raffle. Good community spirit. I noticed the floor had a badminton court painted on it. Friendly people. Only thing Zibdidnt like was being ink stamped on my hand and almost 24 hour’s later I still have a grey smudge mark after washing my hands many times. Perhaps if they have to they could give out wrist bands. Or just trust people who have tickets on their mobile devices. Great night.

Called in as part of our Saturday walk. All we got was grief. We were a party of ten with one main order and two starters. We were told off for not booking ahead. When the food was delivered the landlord was rude again. Nice food but awful service. Such a shame on a nice sunny day.

Good glazed brickwork which has an odd, out of pattern bit by the stage. The parquet floor is in good condition, obviously due to the numerous 'No Stilettos' signs dotted around the place. Toilets clean. Interesting heavy plumbing for the heating. This place should Deffo be the number one spot in town.

We visited here this evening to attend the Belshazzar's Feast show at St Edith's Hall Folk Club. The hall was incredibly difficult to find, even with GPS, and we had to cross-reference it across two maps to be able to get there. Nonetheless, we found it with ample parking, and friendly staff waiting for us. The man on the box office knew precisely who we were, despite our only having booked tickets an hour before the event, via a third party on Twitter. The staff also directed us to a local pub, telling us that it would be the only place that we would be able to eat at that hour.
Drink selection, for a small village hall concert, was quite good: there were several local ales available; all were very good. The sound inside the hall was of good quality, and there was plenty of space inside the venue. They could, however, make more of an effort to signpost the toilets. At first my partner believed the only toilets to be the ones outside in the car park, and made the long walk around to the back of the building in the dark, to find the lights not working. There are, in fact, other toilets inside the building - but they are not signposted at all. Contrastingly, the venue does frequently make a point of banning stiletto heels; this rule is interestingly signposted all over the venue.
