Here a walby right now. Been here for 1hr 30 mins and already ready to go home. Its just a over priced soft play, with a few animals some swings and that's about it. My 7 year old and 11 year old are bored, there's no events on for Mothers day, it's just an expensive play park. Disgusting how adults have to pay full price to walk around supervising there bored children. The animals look sad, the food is over priced. There are plenty of better farm parks near by so much more cheaper and more things to do. It's really sad how a family day out for 5 can cost near enough £60 and then £50 for food and drinks. Can't see this place lasting

We have been to Walby many times and the kids enjoyed it as much as ever.
They particularly enjoyed the magic show which broke the day up. We had hot meals which were very good and the online ordering worked well. It is expensive and so we only go once or twice a year.

I have just been asked to take my newborn baby out side a 2 year old and my 6 year old to eat out side in the cold and rain so people who have got a hot meal can have there seats as they are priority and think that's discusting

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, we’ve also received your email and also your Facebook and Instagram messages.
In response to your messages and review comments, as stated in the terms and conditions, on your booking confirmation and also on signage around our indoor areas, if you’re planning on bringing a picnic we ask you please to head to one of our grassed areas to enjoy your food, at one of our picnic benches. We’re sorry but your own food can’t be eaten in the buildings or on our decking areas.
We have provided a marquee for the inclement weather so please be re-assured that we simply ask that, if you’re going to bring your own food, you consume your own food outside on the grassed areas – marquee included and provided for that reason.
We believe that asking you to only consume food purchased here is a general policy, expected in the majority of cafes and restaurants. We’re sorry that this means you won't recommend us, we’ve done our best to make our site accessible to all and our January £5 online ticket offer has been very popular.

Fantastic place to take young children. Indoor slides and soft play. Huge wooden Castle to run around and explore. Animal Barn and outdoor activities too. Worth going in bad weather for indoor activities alone. Nice Coffee, baking and ice cream. My kids love this place whenever we visit Carlisle we have to go!

An excellent day trip for all the family, surrounded by beautiful scenery. There is a vast range of activities to keep everyone entertained (with no age limit - the young at heart were welcome and encouraged to join in). The farm is located a 15 - 20 minute drive from the Scottish border for those looking for an activity on the way to/from Scotland.
We went with our children aged 6 - 10 years old and they spent a full 5 1/2 hours playing in the multiple indoor and outdoor play areas. Guided by the timetable at the entrance we
also enjoyed building a den and a bug hotel (time booked on entry), feeding the lambs and a tractor ride.
We had lunch at the cafe which was reasonably priced (especially the meal deal) and tasted good. The cafe have an online booking facility available (as well as the usual counter service) so you can book (with your table number) wherever works best (and you don't need to leave the kids to order if it's not convenient).
Lovely day out, would definitely recommend

We had a lovely time at the farm! There are lots of play areas, 2 indoor and 1 outdoor, lots of tables to sit and eat or have a drink. The play area was clean and had plenty of seating, the toilets were very clean too.
The animal barn was good and it was lovely for my daughter to brush a Shetland pony!
The staff were friendly and professional, especially the lady in the cafe who took the time to go through the gluten-free ice cream selection with me. There was plenty of parking space and it was so clean outside.
I would recommend it for active kids for a busy day out.

Excellent day out for parents and young children. Loads of activities. Everything seems to be included in the entrance price. Very clean and tidy. Great tractor tour given by the owner.

On the edge of Carlisle, the title of Wally Farm gives the impression is a place for small animals. Which it is, but there is much more than that.
The animal area is goats, pigs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, donkeys, Guinea pigs, sheep, lambs, lamas, reindeers etc. There is opportunity to feed them, goat racing, ferret racing etc all enjoyable. The Farm handlers were very good (Jack) at explaining the different animals.
There is also softplay, outdoor swing area, climbing areas, football game, crazy golf, train, pedal cars etc. In summary plenty to entertain kids of all ages.
It was glorious weather when we were there which is advantageous but there is also plenty of activities indoors.
There is a good menu selection with eating tables everywhere & the speed of service was exceptionally quick.
This is an excellent day out for the family, will certainly return.

This place is good for kids, massive soft play and nice cafe with loads of outdoor activities and sometimes some festivals.

Visited as a family (myself, husband, 7 year old and 19 month old).
To say I was shocked at the pricing was an understatement. £12.95 for a 19 month old child who could only go on the baby swing, the filthy soft play, and the tractor ride after I was initially told she couldn't go on it in the pushchair so had to wait until she woke up (she fell asleep as she was so bored). Why charge so much for adults just to walk around supervising their children? The only person who got value for money was my 7 year old daughter. You need to reduce the price for adults and make under 2's free of charge (as most places do).
I hate to say but all of the animals in the animal barn looked so depressed. Do they ever get to see daylight? The staff in the animal barn should interact more with the children. Don't just dump the guinea pigs and rabbits on a table, get them to tell the children all about them, how to look after them etc.
Don't even waste your money buying the animal feed, all you can feed are the goats.
I've been to much better places where the children can really interact with the animals and doesn't cost as much as this place charges.
This place is just an overpriced soft play centre with a few sad looking animals to look at. We won't be coming back in the near future.

So sorry for the delayed response here - we're 3 to 4 miles from the centre of Carlisle, there is a bus to the nearest village (Crosby-on-Eden or Low Crosby) once a day but it would be about a mile walk along the road from there. If you'd like any more information please do ask.

Sorry. We actually drove there. Not sure on the public transportation. You might want to call them directly. Perhaps they can help you with that.
